Q – What does water do for our
body?
A – Water is the second most important thing we
put into our body. Air and water are the most important.
Water removes toxins from the body, regulates body temperature
and helps all of the organs function. The human body
is 70-80% water. Drinking enough water everyday is essential
to good health. That’s water – not soda, not coffee,
not anything except pure water.
Q - How much water should I drink a day?
A - The average recommendation is 8-10 eight-ounce
glasses everyday but every body is different requiring
varying amounts of water depending on age, exercise
level, what types of foods you eat and levels of stress.
The safest way to measure the average amount of water
your body needs per day is to take your body weight,
divide it in half and the balance is the number you
need in ounces.
Q - Does my body get minerals from drinking water?
A – NO, Mom was right – eat your fruits and vegetables.
Water, as a carrier of minerals, is fine for the plant.
The plant in turn converts the inorganic to organic
minerals. Then our bodies can assimilate them. We have
worked this process in reverse. We consume hard water
saturated with calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, silicon,
not realizing the body is unable to assimilate these
nutrients efficiently. So nature tucks them in the joints
as arthritis, in the intestinal walls as constipation,
and along the arteries, causing them to harden. We have
never realized that these collected minerals from the
air and in the ground are all inorganic minerals, which
cannot be assimilated by the body unless they are changed
into organic minerals.
Q – Should I drink water
with Fluoride?
A – This is a big controversy but you can refer
to the SFPUC web site where they describe what fluoride
is and the effects fluoride can have on your body. www.sfwater.org
Dr. Hardy Limeback, Head of Preventive Dentistry at
the University of Toronto said in a recent press release,
"there is no question that the risks far outweigh the
benefits…Fluoride accumulates in the bones….We should
all turn to what the Europeans are doing and ban fluoride
from the water supplies."
