Diet Soda Does NOT Help Your Diet Weight
Gain Many
people use diet soda as a means of controlling their weight. The results
are quite the opposite. For example, a college student drank regular sodas
in order to complete his studies and gained weight in the process. After
graduation, to reduce weight, he began drinking eight cans of diet soda
per day. This resulted in caffeine
addiction and additional weight gain. Caffeine
is most commonly used drug around the world. Caffeine is found in products
such as coffee, soda and medications. Its effect on the human body range
from heightened anxiety, body tension, induced alertness and stimulates
the central nervous system. The
overwhelming majority of soda drinkers are under the false impression
that beverages such as soda serve the body in the same manner as water.
This assumption leads to over consumption and assists in the development
of health problems. The
most common health problems related to caffeine are high blood pressure
and increased heart rate. Beverages containing caffeine cause the body
to become dehydrated because caffeine contains diuretic properties. This
is the number one reason why people drink soda in excess, because the
human body is never satisfied by soda alone. Individuals in this situation
have a tendency to over eat because they mistake thirst for hunger. The
end result being weight gain and the collection of unwanted fat. The
best way to avoid the health problems caused by caffeine is to drink eight
glasses of water a day or half of your body weight in ounces
every day. Multiple studies have shown that people who increase their
water intake over the long haul lose weight. In one case study, an obese
woman lost 42 pounds in 18 months by following a diet that stressed an
increase in water consumption. Drink
