Drinking Water for Employees
Electronics for Imaging (EFI) was founded in 1989 and has set the pace for delivering high-quality, short-run color and black and white digital printing solutions. In 1998 when EFI was preparing to move 700 employees into a new headquarters building in Foster City, CA, Penny Mika, Facilities Manager, began the search for safe, good tasting drinking water for the employees. EFI had always provided bottled water and many believed it was the best quality. The down side? Bottles all over the place, coolers that were not maintained and leaked, water bottles so heavy that facilities staff had to be called to change them, and the bottles and coolers seemed unsanitary. Not a very good system for the high-tech 90′s.
